Director of Sales
Front Office Manager/Assistant Manager
Alex DeJarnette, a Nashville native, has joined the team at The Historic Brookstown Inn as their new Front Office Manager. Being born and raised in Nashville, Ms. DeJarnette moved to Johnson City, Tennessee to attend East Tennessee State University where she majored in Advertising. With the upbeat tempo of country music running through her blood Alex worked her way up into hospitality management in Johnson City. She left her previous property – the AAA Four Diamond Carnegie Hotel – and moved to Winston-Salem leaving the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee behind her to continue her career in the hospitality industry. Alex DeJarnette loves the atmosphere of Winston-Salem “a perfect mix of city life and small town charm” and in her spare time she can be found exploring the local hiking trails, strolling around her home in Old Salem or spending time with family. “I love being a part of the Brookstown family and I am excited to see how we can grow this beautiful property.”
Marty Rogers developed an interest in food watching his grandmother cook for his family. In high school, he decided to learn more about food and took a job at Statesville Country Club as a dishwasher and prep cook, and finally a line cook. Mary refined his skills with chef Anthony Paquin at The Peninsula Club and learned what it really takes to be a chef. He attended Savannah College of Art and Design and UNC-Charlotte pursuing an audio engineering degree and did some traveling while keeping his foot in the culinary world. Marty has worked at Meridian Restaurant under Executive Chef Mark Grohman before taking a position at the Brookstown Inn.
