“The Brookstown Inn – was one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. My room was gorgeous, and huge! It was a little tempting to just stay in and hang out in the room, haha!” – Author Alyssa Palombo

“Our spacious, two-level suite with a high, four-poster bed was the perfect spot to relax and recoup…Today guests will find old and new seamlessly combined at the Brookstown. The exposed brick walls, high ceilings and wooden beams recall an earlier time.” – Examiner

“This historic inn, registered on the National Register of Historic Places, used to be the Salem Cotton Mill dating back to 1837. Fast-forward to 1984, and it opened as the Brookstown Inn. It was renovated again in 2013, so everything is quite nice. Our room has exposed beam ceilings and an exposed brick exterior wall. The interior is huge; the bathroom alone we figure at 100 sq. ft. It has two queen beds (although we only need one), a refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, and more space than we could ever need.” – Elaine-iaK’s Travels

“Built in 1837, the original architectural of this former cotton mill, lend to some unique room features like exposed wooden beams and brick walls. All of the 70 rooms are unique and no two rooms are like, but all have modern bathrooms and flat screen televisions…This redbrick hotel is the perfect place to relax and rest from your day’s adventures around Winston-Salem. My girls and I simply loved our stay here. My younger daughter especially liked staying on the top floor, my older daughter liked the extra roomy suite, and I liked the super comfy beds.” – The Charlotte Observer

“this former cotton mill is in walking distance to Old Salem and much of what downtown has to offer. Plus, Uber is in Winston Salem so even if you are going a bit further out, you are just a phone tap away.” – The Manual

“Guest rooms are crazy-big, many suite-like with loft bedrooms overlooking living room areas. Exposed brick and wooden beams. A short walk to the restored 1766 Moravian village of “Old Salem”. – Carolina Epicurean
